The global economic system explained, and an examination of the forces in whose interests it works.
ThisNo-Nonsense Guide to Globalizationdistills the arguments into a clear, concise commentary. It examines the debt trap, the acceleration of neo-liberalism and the "free trade" model, competition for energy resources, and the links between the war on terror, the arms trade, and privatization. It looks at civil society alternatives to corporate globalization and the latest trade justice initiatives.
"The No-Nonsense Guide to Globalization provides a lucid explanatory map of our current condition. This is a concise and valuable overview of the world system, what has gone wrong with it - and the way ahead." Professor John McMurtry, University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada
