This book is so helpful - I highly recommend it! While the topic can be intense to begin with, the author addresses it in a way that puts the reader at ease through touches of genuine honesty and authenticity, sprinkled with humor.

Most of us don't necessarily (want to) think about what will happen after we pass. In this easy to read book, the author helps us guide us to think about exactly that - how we want to help those who will be left after us to deal effectively with our passing. Drawing on her own family experiences, as well as the experiences of others whom she has supported as a minister, she provides a comprehensive and educational approach with a clear step-by-step procedure to prepare for truly "Leaving Lightly". All of this helps us plan in advance to avoid unnecessary effort and pain for our loved ones later.

Jan's book made such an impact on me, I immediately got my affairs together with the support of my husband to make this life transition effortless for our daughter to navigate when the time comes (we hope it's a very long time from now!).

This book raises your awareness of personal information others would need to know that you wouldn't necessarily consider - like financial and bank account information. It provides cost efficient approaches to dealing with the legal requirements, including how you approach a living will, your last will and testament, health care proxy, etc.

It might be a bit odd to say given the topic, but I thoroughly enjoyed the read and was educated at the same time. Enough so, I gifted it to many people in my life. As far as I'm concerned this is a MUST READ for your own peace of mind and if you care for the people closest to you in your life. Finally, this book is a gift you owe it to yourself to buy!
