As a school librarian, I've seen once beautiful books come back ruined due to improper handling. There are very few books on the market to use for lessons on proper book upkeep. The only thing that seemed to help my youngest students understand the need to nurture books, was to put this in the most relatable idea of care: Treat books like babies!

In A Book Is Like A Baby, we realize just how much books and babies need the same type of attention from their caregivers- Being held properly, feeling protected, how not to put glue on them...You know, typical babysitting standards.

Tiana Addai-Mensah is a mother, a wife, and an Early Childhood Library Media Specialist that lives in Richmond, Virginia.Marco Zerneri is mainly an illustrator that lives in Italy, in the Garda Lake area, but sometimes he is also an art director in Berlin. Illustration is his way to give back to the world. His dream #16 is to open a museum of illustration.
