MICHAEL H. MITIAS is Professor and Chair of Philosophy at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. He has published several books on ethics and aesthetics, and his numerous articles have appeared in journals such as The Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism, The British Journal of Aesthetics, and Dialogue and Humanism.
