Bradfield College first opened in 1850 and this is a pictorial celebration of its rich history. Located in the Pang Valley, Berkshire the school was founded by the Reverend Thomas Stevens and originally called Saint Andrews College. This book is a beautifully illustrated social history of the buildings, its traditions and challenges, including contributions from students and staff. Bradfield 175 follows changes in education and society from the nineteenth century through to the successful institution it is today.
Oliver Gent is a teacher of English and Classics at Bradfield College. He lives in the village with his wife and son.
