This is an educational story aimed at children age 3 to 7. It illustrates the excitement of a young boy as he learns about something new in his life. As a surprise treat, the little boys Grandfather takes him to large city aquarium. They explore and learn about different fish. In the process, the little boy, Steven, gets separated from his Grandfather. One of the exhibit fish tanks had a special fish which Steven thought was funny. As the minutes move on, Grandfather discovers Steven is missing , he becomes very worried, and asks an aquarium attendant is he saw Steven. With the attendant's help, they discover Steven at the large tank containing Steven's Funny Fish, In the process, Steven learns about Octopusses, Parrot fish, Turkey fish, and others, including his favorite, Seahorses.
Ronald Semmann is a retired Wisconsin DNR Officer, Co-founder of the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin, and graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He has been recognized for his statewide conservation activities including the development of environmental education centers.Abbigail Semmann is an art instructor in the Eau Claire Wisconsin education system and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin majoring in art. In addition to other illustration work, this is her first children's book illustration. She is Ronald Semmann's granddaughter.
