'Strings' is a story about a grandchild growing up with the love for music thanks to time spent with his grandfather. As the two grow older, their relationship becomes distant, but not forgotten. Events throughout the story place the grandchild in situations of mild physical or mental pain, whereby the grandfather would come with his guitar to 'play the pain away'. 'Strings' provides opportunities for children, parents, and educators to explore patterns, music, and emotion. As an added feature to the book, you can log onto the authors website to listen to the 'Strings' song to be played in the final stages of the story.
Having come from a family greatly influenced by the arts, Kris immediately took to drawing and illustrating at an early age. Those skills were further developed throughout his education where other media came into play such as painting and sculpture. All of this culminated in an education in advertising and graphic design at the post secondary level. Now Kris enjoys working for himself as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. In his free time Kris likes to be with his two daughters and wife.
