Anya is a wife and a mother of a middle school girl. She teaches as a substitute at a local elementary school where the children inspire her to write entertaining yet educational rhyming stories.

Anya loves riddles and rhymes and thinks that they really help to memorize a lot of information. She believes that our greatest gift is imagination. Anya brings inanimate objects to life. For example, in her book Smiley, Happy Planet Earth, she personifies all four seasons of the year. In all her stories she introduces fun characters like proud fruit and veggies, sassy street light signals, adventurous water, busy tree, and many others. All these personified objects send strong messages to kids teaching them about safety, healthy nutrition, and their roles in the environment while entertaining them.

She has always been amazed by teachers' creativity and hopes that her books could become another useful tool to educate children about our Planet, Solar System, Water Cycle, and many other interesting subjects.
