Author Bio

Wanda Cobb Finnen (M. Ed Curriculum & Instruction, Reading Specialization, Tarleton State University, Spanish & English, Secondary Education, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor) began her professional career in 1977 with Los Angeles Community Colleges Overseas on the Atsugi Naval Base and Camp Zama Army Base in Japan. Ms. Finnen has also taught for the Department of Defense Dependents Schools at Zama American High School at Camp Zama, Japan; Pikes Peak Community College at Fort Hood, Texas, and for the Killeen and Belton Independent School Districts in Central Texas. Wandas teaching assignments have included English as a second language, English language arts, foreign language, and reading at the adult education, high school, and middle school levels. Since 1989, Wanda has had the privilege of mentoring and training prospective, novice, and veteran teachers in new teacher orientations.
