Reviews

The choices offered are hands-on activities that will engage learners to apply their learning in creative, motivating ways that can leverage their specific strengths and interests. Example activities include building a 3-D timeline for the 20th century events that impacted business and interviewing one of your public officials. Many of the activities encourage students to use speaking, presentation and artistic skills in a meaningful way . . . The book provides in-depth guidance to support teachers on each activity, including objectives, time frame, grading rubrics, and special notes which includes practical advice.

[Westphal] has included several different menus to help bring out the creativity of your students, and to help deepen their knowledge of Social Studies. I would recommend this book and the whole series to every teacher, and home school parent.,Jeffrey Shoemaker,Gifted Intervention Specialist, 10/7/16
