Description

There has been a major opinion shift in immigration attitudes among Democrats in the past five years. As the New York Times asserts, ICE polls worse than any government agency thats ever been examined by Pew, and 50% of Democrats support defunding ICE (18% opposed). This book will target the rapidly growing base of Democrats who have been politically mobilized by ICEs flagrant human rights abuses but search for more answers on how the system operates.

It also targets the supporters of the New Sanctuary Coalition (a coalition of 150 faith based pro-immigrant groups of which the author is a part) and adjacent immigrant rights organizations, including:

United We Dream: UWD has spoken out repeatedly in support of New Sanctuary and has a 150k Facebook following.

DSA: UWD works closely with the NYC branch, which regularly emails its base with updates on New Sanctuarys work. DSA is made up of 48,000 dues paying members nationwide and nearly 200,000 online followers.

ACLU: The national branch has built relationships with New Sanctuary. The ACLU has 2.3 million Facebook followers, and a 1.75 million members. Through my relationship with New Sanctuary, I have access to the ACLU comms team.
