He was a member of the Knesset (the Israeli Parliament), an envoy to the Council of Europe, a former advisor to General Moshe Dayan, a Professor at Haifa University in Israel and Emory in Atlanta, and is a Chevalier of the Legion D Honneur. He is Israeli s foremost expert in espionage his novel Enigma, was made into a feature film in 2001, starring Sam Neill. Bar-Zohar is the official biographer of David-Ben Gurion, Shimon Peres, and Isser Harel the legendary Director of the Mossad. Nissim Mishal is one of the foremost TV personalities in Israel. He has worked on the staff of Israel State Television, been a political reporter, Washington Correspondent, and finally Director General of State Television.
