The United States in Crisis: Citizenship, Immigration, and the Nation Stateourish only in a nation state. A nation state is a collection of citizens who share a commitment to the same principles. Today, the nation state is under attack by the progressive Left, who allege that it is the source of almost every evil in the world.
I first heard EdErlerexplain, succinctly, the foundation and meaning of American citizenship when I was a student. SincethenI've studied, and learned from, all of Ed's writings on the subject. This is not just Ed's definitive statement on the subject; it is THE definitive statement on the subject. Case closed.
