JON PIERRE Professor of Political Science at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden and adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh and Bod University College, Norway. Among his publications are Governance, Politics and the State (Palgrave, 2000), Governing Complex Societies (Palgrave, 2005).
