Jay is married with 2 daughters and 8 grandchildren. Served 25 years as chief financial officer for Nursing Homes. Earned a Nursing Home Administrators License. Served 15 years at the Sephardic Home for the Aged in Brooklyn. After the home was sold, spent the next 4 years as the CEO of the Sephardic Geriatric Foundation. For many years served as a volunteer fundraiser. Chairman of golf tournaments that benefited Shaare Zedek Hospital in Israel. Co-hosted the annual Chabad Chanukah Telethon for 25 years. Supported an organization that funded research and assistance to people suffering from Familial Dystautonomia.
