The book invites both therapists and victims of trauma to greater understand the depth and complexities of trauma. Therapists have a tendency to identify and treat the most obvious symptoms and fail to identify the root causes of the trauma. Dr. Britcher served in the Marine Corps and the Army primaril;y in medical centers. He was a hospital chaplain covering surgical wards and the ORs at Brooke, Walter Reeed and Madigan Army Medical Centers. He spec\ialized with trauma counseling with rape/incest and PTSD cases. He earned five graduate degrees including a PhD in Psychology.
