The long-awaited sequel to the record-breaking bestseller and most successful self-help book ever, I'm Ok, You're Ok. These are the self-help books that really will change your life - for good. Written with the same sensitivity, insight, humour and compassion that marked the record-breaking self-help guide I'm OK,You're OK, leading psychiatrists and pioneers of the revolutionary psychological Transactional Analysis approach, Amy and Tom Harris, reveal how you can stay that way and get the most out of every day of your life.
We need this wonderful book so badly! It is even clearer and more helpful than its predecessor -- Harold Kushner
Their book has a rare commonsense and realism; its examples and anecdotes and snatches of talk and dialogue, whether real or imagined, are representative and convincing...it it doesn't work it ought to * Observer *
Born in Texas, Harris took his science degree in 1938 from the University of Arkansas Medical School. In 1942 he began his psychiatry training in Washington DC at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was a Navy psychiatrist for several years, becoming chief of the Psychiatry Branch and leaving the service as a commander. This was followed by a teaching post back at the University of Arkansas, and then a period as a senior mental health bureaucrat. He continues to practice psychiatry in Sacramento, California, and is a director of the Transactional Analysis Association.
