The goal of The Whole Sphere - Supporting wellbeing, and recovery from relational trauma is to support wellbeing to enable personal growth and development for those recovering from relational trauma. The model used to frame this "support" is an acronym 'Sphere' (Spiritual, Physical, Hope, Emotional, Relational and Engagement). A sphere is a complete whole, and these six aspects of human wellbeing summarise what supports us all to be whole and in balance, integrated and well. Each chapter explores and offers ideas to support one of the six aspects, first linked to general well-being, and then from the perspective of the impact of relational trauma. A summary of ten ideas is provided at the end of these chapters for easy reference. The final chapter (before the conclusion) applies the author's "Three Houses" information-gathering tool (known internationally) in a new way to help people complete their own self-assessment of their sphere and thereby set goals to support their own well-being. Professional help is not affordable for many affected by relational trauma and this book hopes to reach those people as well as social service workers who need practical 'around the kitchen-table' type ideas deliverable in less well-resourced communities.
