Description

An elegant volume on Dior's long history of creation, beauty, and success through this celebration of one of our most profound emotions. "Women, with their ever-sharp instincts, understood that I not only wanted to make them more beautiful, but happier too."-Christian Dior Since 1947, through its haute couture and fragrance collections, the House of Dior has enhanced the lives of women by bringing them moments of resplendent beauty. On the radiant faces of Dior's models and muses, and through the exuberance of its creative studios and runway shows, joy at Dior shines like a bouquet of fireworks and luminous smiles. Through a unique selection of iconic fashion photography and behind-the-scenes images from fashion shows and workshops, this beautifully-crafted volume traces Dior's recurring themes of creativity, the inspiration of nature, friendship, and success. Drawing from Dior's own archives and from the history of photography, the book presents privileged moments graced by the women and men of Dior who express the house's eternal joie de vivre. An inspiring text drawing from literature, philosophy and Dior's unique history, celebrates the many facets of this exalted state, providing the perspective that resides at the heart of the beautiful book.

Reviews

"Holiday book pick: The House of Diors signature Dior Parfums ad campaigns, photographed since 1947 by some of the worlds best talents (Richard Avedon, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Guy Bourdin and Jean-Paul Goude) are captured here in a book featuring 220 of the best images along with text by Muriel Teodori." FORBES.COM

"Dior: Moments of Joy, [is] a journey through the brands history in 220 photos and a lesson in pure jubilation. Written by psychoanalyst Muriel Todori, the photo book shares gleeful snapshots from runways, shoots, and behind the scenes. Everyone experiences joy in a way that relates to his or her own story, says Todori. The practice of psychoanalysis may have made me more attentive to these differences. NEW YORK MAGAZINE

"This beautifully crafted volume traces Diors recurring themes of creativity, the inspiration of nature, friendship, and success." STYLE CARTEL
