Description

The innocent victims of violent crime are often old, frail and defenceless. Beaten up in their own homes, sometimes for no more than the week's pension money, they are society's neglected sufferers. Passionately indignant at their plight, Joan Jonker founded "Victims of Violence" to redress the balance. Author Bio

Joan Jonker was born and bred in Liverpool. She founded the charity-run organisation Victims of Violence and she lives in Southport with her son. She has two sons and two grandsons.
