Todd E. Leahy is the Deputy Cabinet Secretary and Tribal Liaison for the New Mexico Energy Minerals and Natural Resources Department. He is the author of They Called It Madness: The Canton Asylum for Insane Indians and the co-author of the Historical Dictionary of Native American Movements. He holds a PhD in Native American History from Oklahoma State University and a JD from University of Missouri-Kansas City.
