Ho'ohui Maika'i, can be translated as "good combination." Experiencing various combinations, we are Molokai women on our journeys to knowing ourselves.
Our focus is on our experiences of "mixedness" (including diverse cultures, ethnicities, races, languages, and religions) and our food practices (including gathering, preparing, eating, and sustaining).
As women, we are a major influential force in our families and community. When we deeply connect to our past lineage and stories about who we are and want to be, we can transform our lives, our family community, and, eventually, the larger community and society.
