Throughout history, many women have defied society's expectations of feminine behaviour and appearance in order to live a more authentic life. These short vignettes combine biographical sketches with evocative illustrations for an impact that is as bold, powerful, and inspirational as the brilliant artists, writers and musicians they represent.
[Review Quote] ""[Eloisa Aquino's] admiration for her subjects shines through in this celebratory volume."" - Publisher's Weekly [Endorsement] "A vital history rendered in raw and riveting detail." - Lauren Hough
