Description

"I guess if anything I've ever written could cause them to one day remove the fluorescent lights from the swimwear department, then I've lived a full life." --Cathy Guisewite in Biography magazine

Cathy is like a longtime friend who shares the same fears and frustrations as most women: the frightening sight of too-tight swimsuits in a dressing room mirror, the relentless call of the refrigerator, and men who are never quite right.

This gift book is based on one of Cathy's most popular subjects: Food. Cathy is a cartoon soul mate, who stresses over the four basic guilt group. Readers will find comfort, solace, and lots of laughs.

Author Bio

Cathy Guisewite is the creator of the Cathy comic strip which ran daily in nearly 1,400 newspapers from 1976 to 2010. Launched when there were almost no female voices on the comic pages, the strip became a deeply personal touchstone for women wrestling with a changing world. The strip earned Guisewite the National Cartoonist Society Reuben Award in 1992, an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program for the TV special Cathy in 1987, and the high honor of having her work displayed on the fronts of refrigerators across the land, right next to the food.
