The writer was born in Aurora, Illinois in 1949 and at a young age moved to Lake Bluff, Illinois where his baseball career began.After graduation from Lake Forest high school in 1967 the writer went to Miami university in Oxford, Ohio where he played four years of baseball graduating in 1971. Upon graduation he worked 30 years for Ford Motor Company in Sales and Marketing executive positions while also earning an MBA from Northern Illinois University. Wife, Susan, and daughters Caroline and Meredith are also graduates of Miami University. After retiring from Ford the writer was President of Southgate Lincoln Mercury, in Southgate, Michigan for nine years. Now retired, Susan and Tim divide their time between Beverly Hills and Glen Arbor, Michigan in the summer and Naples, Florida in the winter. His love of baseball has always been a part of his lifestyl
