Richard Burton graduated high school in 1994 and has been covering high school sports ever since. He learned the value of sticking with something after experiencing two-a-days summer conditioning practices under Joe Register, Lake Weir High School's "old school" football coach.
A lover of history, he teaches it to high school students and even applies his love of the subject to football. He's been a guest on radio and internet TV shows in central Florida, where he brings context and historic perspective to current matchups. He broadcasts play-by-play at sporting events for College of Central Florida, where he once served as Sports Information Director.
He lives in Ocala, Florida. Seeds of Greatness is his first published book.
