Matt Winkeljohn has covered the Falcons since 1998 for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, after joining the paper in 1987. He has won numerous awards, including one for a 1996 story about the murder of Olympic and world wrestling champion Dave Schultz by benefactor John DuPont.
