Description

Even though Scotland were eliminated early at the Euros, the fans did everything right. They marched through Munich, Cologne and Stuttgart singing. They infected everyone with their good humour, passion, and love of the game.

There to witness it all was Ally McCoist.

In Ally's Tour Tales, Ally looks back at what makes Scotland so special - and what makes Scottish football some of the best in the world. He looks back at his own life and career, sharing memories of watching some of the great Scotland teams and players of the past, as well as joining the best players on tours around the world.

With a sharp wit, Coisty recounts the outrageous situations and laugh-out-loud moments that peppered his time on the road with Scotland. From infamous pranks pulled on his teammates to the unforgettable mishaps that unfolded in far-flung hotels and training grounds, he leaves no stone unturned in this tale of camaraderie and chaos. .

Hilarious and heart-warming, Ally's Tales promises to be a celebration of Scotland.

Author Bio

Perhaps Scotland's best-known footballer, Ally McCoist MBE, has experienced highly successful careers as both as a player and manager. Ally began his playing career at St. Johnstone, playing there for a while before moving to Sunderland. Returning to Scotland two years after joining Sunderland, Ally signed for Rangers, a move that would see him over time become the club's record goal-scorer with 355 goals.

Ally also holds numerous other records for the club, including number of league goals scored, number of Scottish League Cup goals scored and most goals scored in European competitions. McCoist also featured heavily in Scottish international football during his career, gaining 61 caps and scoring 19 goals in the process.

Towards the end of his playing career, McCoist started his media career. Between 1996 and 2007, he was a team captain on the BBC sports quiz A Question of Sport.
