The history of boxing is as rich and varied as any sport and you cannot tell that incredible history without recognizing the promotional genius of Don King and Bob Arum. The two Hall of Fame promoters were fierce rivals whose competitive nature resulted in many of the most memorable matches in boxing. Talented television producer Marty Corwin had a ringside seat to the promotional titans as he worked closely with them as the only person to be department head for both Hall of Famers. His book is a must read behind the scenes look into the world of professional boxing by two of the best promoters to ever do it. -- Edward Brophy, executive director, International Boxing Hall of Fame
Best probably to buy the book because he deserves me not spilling some of the tastiest anecdotes, of which there is no shortage considering that Marty ran hip to hip with Col. Bob Sheridan. Great stuff, but if you are like me, you probably will take more than marginal delight in the recollections of the Colonel. Those alone make the hardcover a worthy purchase. * Fights Around the World *
