Hsing-I, Chinese Mind-Body Boxing is a seminal work in the field of Chinese martial arts. It was one of the very first publications in English about these little known arts, and remains a classic. It covers all the most important aspects of learning this ancient boxing method, including the history, the philosophy, the training sets and the two-person fighting techniques. First published in 1974, this book has been sought after by collectors ever since.
Robert W. Smith is one of America's great pioneers in the Asian martial arts and has written numerous books and articles on these ancient fighting traditions. Smith is the author of Pa-Kua- Chinese Boxing for Fitness and Self-Defense and Chinese Boxing- Masters and Methods, also available from North Atlantic Books. He lives in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
