Lansdowne Road Stadium, the oldest international stadium in the world, has been at the centre of Irish sporting life since it opening in 1878. In 2006 the stadium closed its doors as it underwent extensive renovation.

Edward Newman brings together the memories of great rugby players and personalities including JPR Williams, Jack Kyle, Syd Millar, Keith Wood, Denis Hickie, Martin Johnson and Gaving Hastings.Accompanied by evocative photographs, these recollections provide the perfect record of Irish rugby s greatest days and greatest deeds to commemorate the opening of the new Aviva Stadium.Ticks all the boxes - Gerry Thornley, Irish Times
