Author Bio

Alan Lynn is Course Director for the MSc in Sports Coaching in the Department of Sports Studies, University of Stirling, Scotland. An experienced coach and coach educator for British Swimming, he was sportscotland Coach of the Year in 1999. He is a member of sportscoach UK's Coaching Standards Group and has presented his coaching-related research at several international conferences. Alan has written three other books for Crowood: Swimming - Crowood Sports Guides [2006]; Conditioning for Swimmers - A Guide to Land-Based Training [2007] and High Performance Swimming [2008].
