Watching Joel Parkinson surf is to know that all is still good with the world. The Coolangatta surfer's sublime talent has taken him to some of the world's most incredible waves, and in this book we celebrate a small part of that journey. Parko's story - illustrated by surfing's finest lensmen - is as much about the people and places in Joel's life as it is about Joel himself. Parko's surfing journey led him to Hawaii's Pipeline in December 2012, where, after having finished runner-up for the surfing world title four times, he was finally crowned world champion. The world's favourite surfer had finally become the world's best surfer.
