Pests of pastures is the collected work of scientists, farmers, producers and extension workers on how to better utilise pastures through improved management and control methods. The book is divided into seven major sections ranging from knowledge of the present situation, through to various methods of control, to future and social issues of pest control. The book considers control options for the major pests of Australian sheep pastures. Many of the papers were actively sought from producers and extension workers so the practical aspect of control is well covered. The 76 papers are organized into seven sections and includes major reviews of each of the subject areas: introduction and overviews; ecology; cultural control; chemical control; biological control; integrated control; and future technological and social issues.
