Gerald Cole is the former launch editor, and now consulting editor, of SelfBuild & Design magazine, for whom he writes a monthly column. He has completed his own self-build and numerous house and flat renovations. Educated at Wadham College, Oxford, he has published thirteen books of both non-fiction and fiction.
