AUTHOR: A nationally recognised design teacher and award winning architect, Professor Lynn Craig, FAIA, RIBA, teaches Freehand Drawing as a vehicle to visually analyse and communicate urban design, architecture and landscape projects to design students and professionals. Prof. Craig is an alumnus of Clemson University, and Washington University, St. Louis, with a Master of Architecture and Urban Design degree. A member of the AIA and the RIBA, having practiced internationally for ten years, receiving International Design awards, returning to South Carolina in 1981 to practice architecture and teach at Clemson University, School of Architecture. A former student of Lynn Craig's while at Clemson University, Cary Perkins is a practicing architect and Associate at McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture with over ten years of experience in commercial and community-based design. Ms. Perkins also teaches architectural design as an adjunct instructor at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. Prior to receiving her Master of Architecture at Clemson, Ms. Perkins completed a BFA with a focus on oil painting from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC and spent several years working in marketing and advertising. Her love for graphic design and visual communication developed during this time and still plays a heavy role in her work.

Author Bio

Professor Lynn Craig, FAIA, RIBA, Artist/Architect, teaches Freehand Drawing as a vehicle to visually communicate design projects at the School of Architecture at Clemson University, where he joined the faculty in 1981, after practicing internationally in England for ten years. Craig teaches at the undergraduate and graduate design studio levels. As a member of the College of Fellows, American Institute of Architects, Craig teaches continuing education workshop seminars in Freehand Drawing to design professionals.
