Carol McMichael Reese is the Christovich Associate Professor in theTulane School of Architecture, where she teaches architectural/urban history andtheory courses. Her books and articles focus on contemporary architecture andurban planning in the Americas. In 2013, she published The Panama Canal and itsArchitectural Legacy, 1905-1920. Her most recent book is New Orleans UnderReconstruction: The Crisis of Planning. She has served on the Board of Directors ofLongue Vue House and Gardens since 2004. Thaisa Way is a landscape historian
teaching history, theory, and design in the Department of Landscape Architectureat the College of Built Environments, University of WA. She has published andlectured on feminist histories of landscape architecture. Her book, UnboundedPractices: Women, Landscape Architecture, and Early Twentieth-Century Design,was supported by the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation and the LandscapeStudies Foundation's David Coffin Award. Her forthcoming book, From ModernSpace to Urban Ecological Design: The Landscape Architecture of Richard Haag,explores the narrative of postindustrial cities and the practice of landscapearchitecture.
