Description

Thumbnails of the images can be found at the back along with short explanatory captions. Throughout the centuries London has been a vibrant and highly influential city. A period in the doldrums passed as London was resurrected as the swinging place to be - the capital of 'Cool Brittania'. Modern architectural landmarks include skyscrapers of the City (the Lloyds Building, for example), museums (the Tate Modern) and curiosities (the Millennium Dome and Millennium Eye).

Author Bio

David Littlefield is a freelance architecture writer. He is also a part-time business editor of Building Design magazine and previously worked as the news editor for the Architect's Journal. He has worked on Time Out's magazines and guidebooks as well as writing the architecture section for the Kids Out Guide to London. David has a first class honours degree in interior and spatial design and lives in London.
