Designing, Manufacturing and Selling Your Bag Collection guides you step-by-step through each stage of the design, manufacturing and retail cycle, providing a tried-and-tested workflow that reflects both established industry practice and the real-world realities of establishing and sustaining a bag brand. Drawing from her own long experience in the fashion industry, Ann Saunders takes a multidisciplinary approach to incorporate the creative design process alongside practical advice on materials, sampling, manufacture, branding and marketing. There's also insight and advice from industry professionals, including sampler Anthony Vrahimis, and designers Catherine Nicol (CNicol), Chris Scopes (Tempesti Leather), Jas Sehmbi (Jas M.B.), Joanna MacDonald (Piper and Skye), Kenny Sanghera (Poli and Jo), Lucy Hailey (Peclers/Holbrook Studio), Raymond Lamb (Vendula London), Stephen Laundy (Fashion Compass) and Zeynep Grsoy (Tara Folks). Online resources include brief videos to demonstrate key techniques, a directory of suppliers, and downloadable blank technical forms - providing everything you need to create original designs and achieve commercial success.
