This manual offers design educators and creative professionals across all disciplines a tool-kit for teaching design in a digital environment. More than 50 e-design experts discuss everything educators and students need to know on the road from graphic design to e-design education: how to incorporate digital technology and programming requirements into the schedule; designing information for on-line use; shaping the interactive user experience; getting familiar with the digital work culture; and designing animation. The book is organized in eight sections and includes a diverse selection of 14 syllabi covering basic needs such as courses on Web design, digital imaging and visual communications to more specialized areas of study such as game design and motion graphics.
