PRAISE FOR AN ANIMATOR'S GALLERY"Disney Editions is no stranger to gorgeous art books, and Eric Goldberg is no stranger to gorgeous art. . . . The deceptively simply line work betrays a stunning talent, and all of the characters-from Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to Baymax and everyone in between-are masterpieces. . . . Many of the pieces 'link together' as characters and settings reach beyond the confines of the frames--demonstrating that imagination (and Goldberg's talent) cannot be contained. If you're a fan of Disney animation, this is definitely one you'll want in your collection."--Geek Dad
PRAISE FOR DALI AND DISNEY: DESTINO--THE STORY, ARTWORK, AND FRIENDSHIP BEHIND THE LEGENDARY FILM
"In 1946, Salvador Dal and Walt Disney began collaborating on a short film. It took nearly sixty years for that film to be completed for various reasons . . . [Dali and Disney: Destino] tells the story of how Dal and Disney became friends first, and then collaborators . . . Destino ended up being a very short film, and it's a shame we don't know what the original vision would have looked like, but this book is an inside peek at how it all came to be."--Geek Dad
"We all owe Dave Bossert a tremendous debt for his determined efforts to find and restore the missing films from Oswald's first year. Now, in this richly illustrated volume, Dave shares the details of those films. . . ."--J. B. Kaufman, film historian and author
"The photographs stray from the usual studio-publicity fare and include behind-the-scenes looks at early Disney history. . . ."--Orlando Sentinel
". . . uses this forum to touch on important social issues . . ."
"Dave Bossert has created a wonderful book to commemorate The Nightmare Before Christmas. . . . He masterfully blends interviews with Tim Burton, Danny Elman, and myself along with many of the talented artists who worked on the film into a very nuanced and personal picture of how the movie actually came together, was made, and went from a cult favorite to a holiday classic. It's a remarkable book about a remarkable, one-of-a-kind renegade project that has stood the test of time."--Henry Selick, Director, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas
