This musical tale will appeal not only to children, but will warm the hearts of anyone who loves that time-honored tradition, the summer band concert! At the beginning of the story, it is said that a town simply isn't a town until a band can march down the street. After putting an advertisement in the local newspaper, a number of musicians show up and play a few songs in the town parade. Much to the audience's dismay, the band isn't very good. Their music sounds just awful and seems to be getting worse, no matter what they do. Then, everything changes when a cute little boy asks an innocent question. The rest is history and shortly thereafter, the band becomes the town's most cherished institution.
