Unterberger is also the author of the Rough Guide series including The Rough Guide to Jimi Hendrix as well as several volumes on music history such as Turn! Turn! Turn!: The '60s Folk-Rock Revolution, The Unreleased Beatles, Unknown Legends of Rock'n'Roll, and White Light/White Heat. Unterberger lives in San Francisco, California.
