Description

Guitars and all of the music written with the guitar is infinite. The list of players who have been a part of history in that process is endless as well. Just some of those folks mentioned in this book are Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Eddie Van Halen, Eric Johnson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, Kurt Cobain, Robert Cray, John Mayer, John 5, etc.

Bass players were no different and those players are also mentioned in this book for the same reasons that guitarists were. Some of those folks are Jaco Pastorious, James Jamerson, Marcus Miller, Reggie Hamilton, Roscoe Beck, Tony Franklin, Mike Dirnt, etc.

The reason these iconic legends are mentioned in this book is either because of their specific signature model or because certain models were based on their style or preferences. Their collective "styles" have been the core foundation of music known around the world for 70 years.

As the reader begins this book, it becomes clairvoyant how the process of creating electric guitars and basses have been, and still are executed. With musical instruments, the pre-planning starts roughly a year prior to the release of each model. Generally, the release of new models take place twice a year. In January and in July.

There is a reason behind each model and those reasons along with the detailed specifications of each model are woven into the fabric of each story of each model. This book is a look from the inside.
