Author Joy Tonks has drawn on many of these lively, diverse memories, together with interviews and other contributions, in combination with the orchestra's own extensive archives and current records. Full of colourful and sometimes controversial personalities, this book tells of trials and triumphs, and is a tribute to the outstanding success of New Zealand's National Youth Orchestra.
Author Bio
Joy Tonks is the NZSO's historian, archivist, and former personnel manager. Most of her working career has been spent in broadcasting, for the NZBC/BCNZ in New Zealand and the BBC in London.
