He has written many books including; The Night Mayor, Anno Dracula, Life's Lottery, Back in the USSA, The Man From the Diogenes Club, The Vampire Genevieve, Orgy of the Blood Parasites Nightmare Movies, Ghastly Beyond Belief, Horror: 100 Best Books and The BFI Companion to Horror. He has won the Bram Stoker Award, the International Horror Guild Award and the British Science Fiction Award.
