Author Bio

Laura J. Shapiro was a concert promoter before moving to film and television as a writer, producer and consultant on projects for HBO, Showtime, Netflix, 20th Century Fox, Universal Studios, Lionsgate, MGM, and Paramount. She was commissioned by the Writers Guild Foundation to write and edit the book, The First Time I Got Paid For It: Writers' Tales From The Hollywood Trenches. She has been involved as a consultant on Bill & Ted Face the Music for over ten years.
