Duologues are short scenes between two actors. They are used by drama school examining boards, students for their final year showcases, and professional actors' training centres. They provide a concentrated way of practising skills and encourage actors to listen and respond. This collection of 45 duologues is selected from a range of plays, from Elizabethan to contemporary. Helpful advice is given in the book by contributors such as Tom Stoppard, April De Angelis and Don Taylor.
Jean Marlow, with her co-director Eamonn Jones, runs the Actors' Theatre School in London and is an experienced actress and teacher. She is also the author of Audition Speeches for Young Actors 16+, Actors' Audition Speeches, Actresses' Audition Speeces, and Audition Speeches for Women.
