Mr. Hicks has a love of Texas and world history, hiking, and electronic music, and he is very sad over the demise of the Pear Red Bull. He is a prolific reader, especially of J.R.R. Tolkien and British history, and is dabbling in writing fantasy here and there. Mr. Hicks has been with his amazing wife, Lisa, for thirty years, and they live in East Texas with Sophie Grace, his Australian shepherd, and Lulu, his half-Chihuahua fur baby.
