Hooves on the Shore, The Lure of Chincoteague, is a pictorial essay on what is so special about Chincoteague, VA. The images give a visual description of what life is like on the island including the famous pony swim, the carnival, simple pastimes as well as the beautiful wildlife and fauna surrounding the area. In addition to the images, a short poem describes a tale of how and why the ponies came to be in Chincoteague and why they are so important to the existance of the island.
